Description:

Trillium College’s Community Service Worker (CSW) diploma program gives you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to assist in creating, implementing and overseeing a variety of social and community-based programs. You will develop skills to assist in client assessment, proper referral procedure and monitoring clients’ treatments help change people’s lives for the better.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants are required to have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, or mature student status (18 years of age).
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 60] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550]
    Application Notes : The results from different forms of ESL testing can be submitted along with your application. If English isn’t your first language, one of the following tests is required: CAEL A minimum overall score of 60 is required. www.cael.ca IELTS A minimum overall band of 6.0, with no test score below 5.5, is required. www.ielts.org TOEFL Paper-based Test – A minimum score of 550 is required. Internet-based Test – A minimum score of 80, with no single score below 20, is required. Please note that our institution code for TOEFL is 7371. www.toefl.org. Some programs have specific ESL benchmarks that are required for entry.
